I am an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Psychology and Neurology at the University of Texas at Austin. I am studying new mechanisms and therapeutic strategies for improving spinal cord repair and pain symptoms. In addition, I will study models of mood- and metabolic-related disorders.

I completed Postdoctoral training in Dr Linda Watkins’ lab at the University of Colorado Boulder, and in Dr Phillip Popovich’s lab at Ohio State University. My Ph.D. training was completed with Dr Matt Ramer at The University of British Columbia (2010).
