Are there dyes to label neurons, similar to how SR101 labels astrocytes in 20 minutes under 2P?

Hi,

I am performing 2P imaging on the spinal cord using vGlut2-GCaMP mice. My goal is to calculate the percentage of responsive neurons to mechanical stimuli relative to the total number of neurons in the FOV. However, I am unable to visualize all neurons in the FOV because the baseline GCaMP activity is low. I am wondering if there is a dye that can label neurons fast during 2P imaging, similar to how SR101 labels astrocytes within 20 minutes during 2P imaging. Alternatively, if there is another strategy to visualize all neurons, I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you!
