Imagine you’re starting a new lab and you need to buy some equipment for calcium imaging in two main applications: DRG cultures and spinal cord slices.
What equipment would you get? That is, microscope, camera, perfusion system, etc. I’d want to keep costs down, but I’m willing to pay for value. You do get what you pay for usually.
I realize that SC calcium imaging and DRG may benefit from different microscopes (wide-field vs. confocal/2P), but if you were to try to have a workable setup for as many calcium applications as possible, what would it be?
