Inquiry on NR2B Primary Antibody for Mouse Fluorescent Immunostaining

Dear all,

I am a graduate student currently working on fluorescent immunostaining of mice spinal cord tissue. I am searching for a primary antibody against NR2B that is suitable for immunofluorescence and raised in a host species other than mouse, to avoid background staining from endogenous IgG in mouse tissue.

I have previously tried NR2B antibodies from Abcam for immunofluorescence, but unfortunately, they did not yield satisfactory results. Since my work specifically focuses on fluorescent staining rather than Western blot, I am looking for recommendations that have been tested successfully for immunofluorescence, especially in spinal cord tissue.

If you have experience with a good NR2B antibody that meets these requirements, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share the catalog number, company, and any staining tips.

Thank you very much for your kind help.

Hi Zoe Chen, We have not yet tried to stain spinal cord tissue with antibodies for NR2B. I am wondering if you might try publications from Mike Salter’s group. Yves DeKoninck, Mike Hildebrand. @mike.hildebrand
