Join our lab in its effort to elucidate the neural circuitry mediating nociception and pain (https://vivo.brown.edu/display/csaab). A position is available starting April, 2017 for a postdoctoral fellow in the Saab lab, Department of neurosurgery and Department of neuroscience, Brown University and Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, USA. The fellow is expected to execute funded research projects and make significant contributions towards novel discoveries at the intersection of neuroscience, engineering and computational modeling. Requirements include PhD in neuroscience or related field, proven experiences in small animal surgery, multi-unit electrophysiology in awake rodents (TDT, CED), advanced computational analysis of mesoscale neural data (MATLAB), behavioral sensory detection paradigms, optogenetic and maintenance of rodent colonies.
